The Fail Sweetly Project

About: The Fail Sweetly Project was founded in September 2013 when I was looking for a purpose to help others. I’m proud to say that over 3 1/2 years later this project has transformed in ways I didn’t know possible. TFSP began with sending care packages to active duty service members and sending gift cards through Green Beans Coffee to those who were deployed. It slowly gained momentum and began sending care packages to military spouses as well as Gold Star families. To date TFSP has partnered with USO San Diego for their annual Halloween event and sponsored a wounded warrior spa day to Glen Ivy Hot Springs. TFSP is currently working on sponsoring 7 wounded warriors on a whitewater rafting trip through the Grand Canyon in summer 2017.

Goals: The biggest goal is for TFSP to become a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. TFSP has changed its mission statement to focus on non-medication therapies for wounded warriors and combat veterans. There will be more trips similar to the whitewater rafting trip that will take place this summer.

Funding: TFSP is privately funded by me. I don’t take donations and everything that I do comes out of my pocket. With that being said, they are worth every penny.
